2023-2024 CONCERT SEASON

SPRING: NELSON MASS, Sunday, April 28, 2024, 4 PM

We close the season with Franz Joseph Haydn’s “greatest single composition, Missa in Angustiis, or “Mass for Troubled Times.” Most popularly known as the “Nelson Mass,” for Lord Horatio Nelson, after the British defeat of Napoleon at the Battle of Nile. Also featured will be Haydn’s Te Deum, and The Chariot Jubilee, by 20th Century Canadian/American composer , R. Nathaniel Dett.
